Apparently the charges are saying he is in trouble for instruction someone else (Manning) to break in to a secure system or someone else computer. The current charges are not about publishing the information once obtained.
What is the potential penalty and will the next president just pardon this idiot? I wonder if he would have spent less time locked in a small room (The Ecuadorian embassy) if he had just turned himself in in the first place.
