I want to give up fries and sodas. I believe that I can live the
rest of my life without them and be none the worse off. I'll fall off
the wagon. I'll get right back on.
I stress that this is not a new year's resolution. I listened to a
girl, about fifteen, rattle off some resolutions today. The one that
stuck with me is "I will not pay for dates that involve kisses." The
girl is learning.
