Psychopath

I heard this on the radio this morning. Nat gave me a ride because I'm under the weather.

They had a little contest to find out who got the right answer. Supposedly a large number of serial killers answer this question a specific way. Of course, the correct answer to this question means you are you are a psychopath.

A woman attends her mother's funeral. She meets the man of her dreams there. Two weeks later she murders her sister. What is her motivation for killing her sister?

Every one's first guess was because her sister was banging her new boyfriend. Wrong.

I default to the "Its a trap!" response and say it is only because the sister had it coming and all the other information was superfluous. Wrong.

The correct and there for psychopathic answer is, to see the man again. If the guy went to the mother's funeral, he would probably go to the sister's funeral as well. This apparently is how psychopathic people think. The life of the sister was worth less than the chance to meet this guy again.

The guy who called in with that answer was very careful to say it took him a couple tries to get the answer. I don't blame him for a bit of back peddling.

Very interesting question this morning. Nat and I debated weather this scenario was going to show up on Criminal Minds or Lie to Me first. It was awesome to have something to talk about on the way in this morning.
