Spain starts tracking mobiles but denies spying

Millions of phone users are being followed this week but critics fear it is a step closer to spying.

These guys are just admitting it. It is interesting that GDPR has a bunch of rules that seem to conflict with what these folks are saying.

Of course it is legal today, and it will be legal tomorrow when we change the law and retroactively apply that law to the old data that just happens to be lying around. At which point we will change the law again to collect even more data. ... You get the idea.
