The
Times said Ahmadinejad was a 23-year-old university student at the time
of the takeover in November 1979 and was a founding member of the
radical student group that organized the storming of the U.S. Embassy
compound. |
"This
is the guy. There's no question about it," said former hostage Chuck
Scott, a retired Army colonel who lives in Jonesboro, Georgia. "You could make him a blond and shave his whiskers, put him in a zoot suit and I'd still spot him." |
“Thanks
to the blood of the martyrs, a new Islamic revolution has arisen and
the Islamic revolution of 1384 [the current Iranian year] will, if God
wills, cut off the roots of injustice in the world,” he [Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad] said. “The wave of the Islamic revolution will soon reach
the entire world.” His fiery language shows that he has not lost the revolutionary ardour that propelled him into politics as a young Basij Islamic militia volunteer who had fought in the Iran-Iraq war. It is also reminiscent of the rhetoric of Ayatollah Khomenei, the architect of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, and is likely to sound alarm bells in the West, afraid that his victory could signal a return to post-revolutionary fundamentalism. |
I wish I had more to say about this, besides that it makes me sick. Not only is it state sponsored terrorism, but it is state run terrorism. It is a state that says "Fuck you, we are terrorists! What are you going to do about it?!? BWAA-AAA-AAAAA!! Death to America! Death to the Jews!" I'm supposed to think that I'm the bad guy because I can't help but think our system is better than theirs. Well, screw that, and screw them. I cannot wait until we finally get a viable oil alternative going and tell the whole Middle East to take their "kill every one who doesn't warship the same as we do" religion and their "to hell with the poor because they did something bad in a past life" beliefs and go fuck themselves.
