Distance earth travels in 1 year: 940 million km
Diameter of earth: 12 756 km
How many seconds in an actual year: A year is 365.24 days. Or 8,765 hours, or 526,000 minutes, or 31.6 million seconds.
940,000,000 km / 31,600,000 seconds = 29.7 km/s
12,756 km / 29.7 m/s = 429.5 seconds
429.5 seconds is 7 minutes 9 seconds
