Why, WHY dose it take ten minutes to remove a folder in Linux?
Actually, it is different lengths of time for different servers. There
is nothing going on on either of these servers. One takes ten minutes
to remove a folder. The other does it in a few seconds. They are not
all that far apart on the performance curve. I just don't understand
why it takes that long. There are not that many files. The hierarchy is
not that complex. It is one of those mysteries.
sudo rm -rf /*
And the universe collapsed on itself.
It wasn't me. You can't prove anything.
