My error is obvious. I put the stress point right at one of the holes that are cut in the shaft. I think they do the holes for flexibility. I did not realize I put the handle right smack at the middle of one of the low load points. There goes $40 bucks down the drain. The weed eater still works, it just is in two pieces.
I thought about putting in some kind of brace like a broken leg. I think I should worry more about getting the gas weed eater working. It needs a fuel line. Hey Dad! are you reading this? I wonder what I can use the motor for?
