Company Size
I used to work for a multi-national company that had 30,000 employees
and probably another 10,000 or 20,000 contractors that worked
exclusively for that company. There were at least 50,000 nodes on the
network. The tentacles of this behemoth stretched to all points of the
globe. If you can drive a bulldozer across it or float a tanker near
it, you found that company nearby.
In the company I work for today, the boss can pick up the intercom and
page every one who works for him in one breath. That still amazes me.
I'm just not used to it. It has to be harder going the other way.
It wasn't me. You can't prove anything.
