Spent yesterday fighting my home wifi and the shitty AT&T Client VPN for work from home. It was a nightmare trying to keep the computer connected for more than 5 minutes. I cannot work from home. I tried connecting using the Comcast wifi of course and my phone with similar results. The phone seemed a bit better, but not good enough to support the heavy cost of data.

Why don't we give Iran a couple nukes. That should calm things down. Why keep up the pussyfooting? Haven’t used that term in a while.

You failed and you knew it was coming. The system was so bad that experts told you to shut it off.

The trouble is our government is only afraid of its own citizens. They have forgotten that making laws controlling the citizenry do not control the rest of the world. laws only matter when someone gives a shit what you think or what you are going to do about it.

This means China may have info on several of my friends. Oh, and me too, because I’m friends with them, though I never filled out the paperwork mentioned above.

Time at Work

Spoke with one of the long term employees of the new big company I work for about our work cycle.

it just seems like everything is on fire all the time. There is nieve any down time where you can think or make new things happen. Maybe I’m just old or just not as strong as other people. maybe I’m just old fashioned.

The person I spoke with said that our company used to have a cycle of feast and famine, ebbs and flows, ups and downs. This is kind of what I was used to at my last job many years ago.

The modern world demands 100% compression of time. That is, everyone has to get 100% out of every resource just to tread water. It is a sad state of affairs. How do businesses innovate? It seems like noone has time to make the cool stuff happen. Not that I was one of those people. I need the extra time to keep my nose above the waterline.

Sometimes it seems like if you are working a 40 hour week, something is wrong with you. The company assumes you are not at 100% if you don’t put in extra hours.

It is so sad. From my point of view the world is going down hill. All I hear about on the economic news is worker efficiency. To my ears, that says how many hours employers can get our of their employees for free. This just sounds more like thievery than efficiency to me.

There was a time I went to school and didn’t work.There was a time I didn’t work and did not go to school. i made up my mind and prayed that I would be a productive member of society. Well, I’ve done this. Not i ‘m not so sure it was the best thing for me. I was not making enough money to live on. But, I was not so desperetly tired as I am now.

At some point, you need to let sex offenders rejoin society, or you should just lock them up forever. I prefer a case by case judgement by experienced judiciaries. Creating this multiple tier society is not going to work in the long run.

Be careful what you wish for. More. The citizenry attacking the police is a lot like the AIDS virus. AIDS attacks the immune system. The treatment simply takes up the space on the immune system’s cells that the AIDS virus attaches to. This stops (most of the time) the virus from attacking the immune cells. How can we apply this same idea to police and citizenry? Well, putting masks on the cops. That is something they did in Nazi Germany. It worked for a while. We do it here in riots sometimes and during “raids”. Why not all the time?

Immunisation - Immunise your kids. It is a parental right. The rights of all the people you are  putting in danger outweigh the right you have to put your kid in danger for no good good reason.

War coming to Israel this summer. Not sure, but it sure looks like Hezbollah is going to make things miserable for Israel this summer. North Korea freaking out and trying to do something that makes them look like a grown up super power. Oh, and Russia invading (for real) the Ukraine, and perhaps further. Then there is Iran and their nukes.

If I were the enemy of the U. S. right now I would be planning to blow my biggest wad right when everyone else is. Who will go first? Who will go loudest. The news cycle will not cope.

It will appear that the whole world is coming unglued. The truth will be that the world police have failed to do their job. I think most of the rest of the world will wish the U. S. was still meddling in affairs and watching the bad guys.

Some people at my work don’t come in until after 10:00 am. The thing is, many of them work to past 20:00 routinely to get the job done. Please do not give any of them crap about it. It stuck out this morning when someone who qualifies for this description who was working with someone in the UK had to hurry and catch her before she left for the day. There is only a five or six hour difference this time of year. It is a different approach. I remember the days of getting to work at 6:00 (am) and leaving at 15:30. You have half a day left to get things done. You might even be able to make an appointment for a doctor or dentist. Those days are gone.

How do you define a gang member? How do you define anything or anyone? Once you start slapping labels on someone they rebel.

I remember asking about this in the nineties. I saw an automated blood test that told you how much insulin to use. I’m like “Why can’t they just implant that and make it automatically pump the insulin?” Well,, it took a while but they sound like they are for real.
