Lunch Conversation
We went to Whataburger. They have a half good chicken sandwich. I was going to skip lunch and just walk around. This restaurant is a fair walk from our office across a lumpy soccer field and several parking lots.

- Food, cars, laws, taxes, traffic
- Moving back and forth
- Renting vs landlording in both places.
- Deposits (from both points of view)
- Getting from one place to another.
- Coworkers getting in wrecks in front of the office.
- Catchup and other spices.

- Flying, landing

- Sleeping on the way to and from work.

We saw a wreck this morning
Saw a wreck this morning. Bill gave us a ride in. There were three cars at the end of our street trying to get on Westheimer. Bill even mentioned it was a traffic jam. We hardly every have to wait for more than one car, if that.
The pickup in front of us pulled out slowly and went across all three lanes and got smacked by an SUV. If they had just pulled in to the far right lane, they would have been fine. The pickup was able to pull over in to a driveway, but the SUV was having issues. The right front wheel was folded inward at the top by about 45 degrees.
Other than that, traffic was really light. We made it to Elle’s school and to my work.
All I was thinking about was the lack of a camera in bills vehicle. Dangit! That would have been on YouTube in no time. Man, it really upsets me. I have had a couple times in Bill’s vehicle where I wanted a camera running.

Eighth Deadly Sin
Pride, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and the modern sin of Haist.
Haist is the sin of the incomplete job. We do not teach our children to work well. We teach them to get done. They are taught to move from ticked box to unticked box. We set deadlines that when they are met the next deadline is set that much closer.
Our mail carrier constantly puts the wrong mail in our box. They expect us to finish their job of delivery. UPS and FedEx drivers throw the box at the door without knocking, disregarding the law in the process.
This sin has always been around. It is just affecting my life more and more lately.

I wonder
When cutting a throat, would it be less time to unconsciousness to slice the left side of the neck or the right side?
The left side bring blood to the brain from the heart. There are check valves in the arteries to try to prevent back flow. Stopping that flow would cause loss of consciousness as quickly as the blood in the head lost oxygen.
The right would allow blood to flow out of the head much faster than the heart could ever hope to replace it. Loss of consciousness might happen more quickly because even though blood is coming from the heart, it is not at enough pressure to feed the brain at all before running out of the body.
I wonder which it is. What kind of doctor/scientist would know?

Bad attitude
A woman who I ran in to in the elevator on the way up to work at around 7:15, was greatly pissed at having to come in this Good Friday. Briton has the day off. We could have taken a floater today if it pleased us. It is a religious holiday. Get over it. I did feel sorry for her. She is going to have a bad day based on her attitude. She could have a good day if she so decided.
