Ampere has unveiled the industry's first 80-core ARM-based 64-bit server processor today in a bid to outdo Intel and Advanced Micro Devices in 

When you only have two companies dominating an industry, it is worrisome that they will naturally fall in to niches. When you have three or more, it doesn't work that way. I'm glad for the competition in the field. Makes me want a real third party in our government, but I'll not hold my breath.
