Lunch Conversation

  • Small talk (very small)
    • Family and sickness
    • House and costs
    • Cars and costs
  • GenCon - Game convention
    • Something about a companion pass. It is like a VIP pass of some kind.
    • A bunch of the folks at work are excited about the trip. They are laying in plans and pulling together ideas for the trip.
    • Games played
    • Not for everyone. Most people return for another go.
  • Infections diseases
    • Cold sores
    • Sores inside the mouth. They are contagious dag-nabit.
    • Catching once we started dating
  • Books and movies (the two go hand in hand lately)
    • Harry Potter sucks. I liked the books, but none of my fellow lunch goers cared for the series regardless of form.
    • Some really intense book that one person is inciting another person read, but he cannot get past a page without falling to sleep.
    • Hunger Game, books and movies. I’m the only one who has read all three books. New experience for me. I have not seen either movie.
    • The recent movie that was a much better book that some called Harry potter in space about a kid who saves the world after intense training.
      • Everything else from this author was mediocre at best.
  • Religion and Bible
    • Compare and contrast the fractures of the Catholic church.
    • Link stories in the bible with runs in other books.
    • Modern transmogrification and fracture of churches and opinions.
  • Vehicles
    • Josh wants a new truck. Something that is shorter than his current truck. We discussed options.
    • Gigantic trucks that are just overkill for any reasonable daily use.
    • Tow Trucks towing too big vehicles.
  • Work (not too much)
    • Reviews
    • Nerves about Reviews

Noticeably absent
  • Sports
  • Taxes

I have to be honest, This whole Lunch conversation theme I have going on the blog has increased my ability to remember what people say in conversation. Interesting side effect. Helpful. There aer many worse things that could have come out of this. I’m thinking lawsuit, missing teeth. There is always tomorrow.
