30km per second is the speed at which the Earth travels around the sun according to Dr Karl. The diameter of the earth is a bit over 12,700km depending on where you measure. 12,700 divided by 30 is 423 seconds. Thus, the earth passes through its own diameter every 7 minutes. The last time I did this calculation, it came out to 6 minutes and 45 seconds.

I saw a headline today on CNN that read something about the protests over a rape case being the Indian Arab Spring. I bet that pisses of a lot of people. Indians are not necessarily Arabs by a long shot. Arabs get tired of being compared to and called Indians I’m sure.  We in the West just don’t get it again. Well, CNN just doesn’t get it again.
