Nukes, nukes everywhere

Briton has 100 tons of nuclear waist. Some estimate that is enough to make 17000 nukes of the size that destroyed Nagasaki. Somehow, I doubt those numbers. I heard them on a BBC podcast today (from a couple of days ago). This is low level waist that can be carried off using a sack without much trouble or threat of dying from radiation. One solution is to purify it. Basically, boil it down and make it very dangerous to handle.

Syria has been called out trying to get nuke info from North Korea. Iran has made no secret of it's pursuit of nuclear technology. India and Pakistan already have nukes.

I'm waiting for the first private company to say that they have nukes and are not afraid to use them. Pretty soon there will be Equate brand nukes at Wal-Mart. Once nuclear technology is so proliferate that any one can lay their hands on the stuff, we might just finally get nuclear batteries like the ones running the Voyager space crafts from the seventies. It might be nice to buy a car that goes 250000 miles without any refueling, then you get another one.
