Hot hot hot!!!

Ever wonder why old songs talk about gunshots burning. I've been hit by flying brass that was hot enough to leave a good mark where it touched me. I had a casing burn a whole in a rag. Bullets don't just hurt going in. They keep hurting. When the heat dies doesn't, the poisoning begins. It is a bad deal all the way round.

People wonder why bullets flatten so dramatically. It is because the lead is nearly molten out of the barrel. This is why so many bullets have jackets of different kinds. To proetect the projectile as it leaves the barrel
