My parents are all up and running on wireless. For some unknown their big fast fancy router will only connect to their 54 mps laptops at 11 mps. Who knows? My father has a VPN to his company. When it connects to the company's VPN the company's laptop is set to kill the other network connections. This is to keep the company's network from being infected so easily and to prevent back door peepers from spying on the network. It is difficult to explain why it takes a couple of seconds and a couple of error messages to go from one network to another.
